An announcement about how we're big meanies and don't give a fuck

This announcement was decided because apparently, some people have to 1/ join and 2/ diss us, attack us, our friends who translate, their translations, etc. So /bitch mode on.

So, a lot of you are joining from BA to lurk for goodies. Fine, we don't care about that, as long as you respect our wishes, because yes, we do know that some of you joined without meaning any harm, and we are fine with you.

Wanna know why we'd ban some arses? Mostly three things:

• People who do not respect our wishes, and repost what we give in BA, pretending to get those from "other place"
• People who still diss us despite the fact that they lurk for what we give
• People who troll

See, it's easy and simple, common sense even. We absolutely don't care about your feelings about how we're big meanies, we are not here to feed you with goodies, news, whatever. What we care about is our fandom, that you guys enjoy to diss on regular basis.

In short, you are not entitled to anything. We give to those we care about, and funny enough, you are not on our prerogative list. It doesn't mean we don't love Bleach [I actually believe that we love it more than you do], it just means that we don't love you. I don't care if I have to ban all of you, since this forum was - shocking! - never meant for you anyway.

So fuck up once and you're out. Because trust me, if you diss us, we will know. Yes, since we're apparently bitches, might as well act as ones.

Btw for new members who joined because they truly love IchiRuki there's no need to freak out, this announcement is not intended for the IR fans and the mods have ways to differentiate which are trolls/leechers and which are not, so rest assured. Deathberry is a forum dedicated for Ichiruki fans, not for a selected bunch who think they're entitled to everything

It is sad that things have to be handled like this really. What I don't understand is back then when we are still part of BA and our FC is public those same "fans" who are now bashing us for locking the forum always treated us as the "bringer of shipping disease" , "GTFO shippers you are derailing the thread with your shipping shit" , "you are a shipper so your arguments are invalid compared to us the UNBIASED fans" , etc etc. Yet now that we moved to our own place and away from them we still get bitched as secretive bitches who don't love Bleach (funnily enough these bitches who hate Bleach managed to get the info and stuffs the true fans did not) If they hate us then rest assured because the feeling is mutual, and we simply want to get away from them so why can't they just do both sides a favor by doing the same.

This small forum was created for the little fraction of Bleach fandom we care about. It's YOU who keeps shadowing us and getting our goodies. Honestly, if you want them, fine, go ahead we never minded as long as you didn't cause trouble and just follow our rules, but don't expect us to greet you with smiling faces when you insult and bash us as for not wanting to do with a forum that kicked us out by choice, and still feel entitled to benefit from what we give.

A few comments:

!) No one here is punishing anyone in fandom. We left BA first because of various reasons but a fact is that the administrators kicked out the IR FC owners. We're not punishers, victims or victimizers. We're just doing our own thing here, and if you want to share in the fun, you have to play by our rules is all.

2) This board is primarily an IchiRuki board--the IchiRuki fanclub is front and center. There is space here for general Bleach fans in other forums on the board. IchiRuki is NOT my OTP but I've long acknowledged that the best information, the best discourse and the most active fans are those at the helm of the IchiRuki fandom. That's why I'm here helping this board. Please do not go around accusing IchiRuki people here of not being Bleach fans--the administrators at BA and the mods there are the ones who've long bragged about their lack of interest in Bleach. That's not the case here. We're sharing--just not with people who diss us.

3) Look, I'm an ex-English professor and I sit on my hands not correcting peoples' "grammer" all the time, but if some of you have no other ammunition against this board other than making fun of people whose third or fourth language is NOT English, then I pity you. I look at the "what's your nationality thread" and feel enormously proud of the diversity of this board and all the languages our members speak. Call us bitches (we are), say that we're secretive (we can be), and whine all about your entitlement to the information our members dig up that you can't dig up yourself (I can ignore you) or the translations our members do that you can't do (where are your good translators now, BA? I thought they were a dime a dozen and didn't have to google-translate from Baidu) but PLEASE DON'T MAKE FUN OF OUR MEMBERS' ENGLISH BECAUSE FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN IN BLEACH FANDOM, NATIVE SPEAKERS' ENGLISH IS ATROCIOUS.

In a word, this board doesn't coddle fools and doesn't put up with shit. Those of you who play fair and play hard and well within our parameters, we love you. Thank you Syn for this announcement.

Butthurt ones who bitch about our members' translations being so horrible in other places can GTFO of this forum too we are more than happy to ban you from this place so you wouldn't have to read the horrible translations. Rephrasing is just that: "REPHRASING"!!! It's not like I'm belittling the work of a proofreaders, because their work is very important too, to make the work of translators reach readers in the most beautiful form, but there's a reason for the title "proofreader" to be born  and it's DIFFERENT from "translator"!!! Yes, as a proofreader who KNOWS Japanese, I still can't say enough to stretch that difference. Can't those idiots even understand the differences in these labels? Exactly. I don't know Japanese and I do proofread, but I'd never try to make it pass as "my translation" because I can't translate from anything else than *French*. When a person who doesn't know JP post a translation that's rephrased from the original.... it doesn't make them a "better translator". It makes them a "proofreader".

And this is why we can't have nice things in fandom.

If I hear again how people bitch and belittle our translator's work, then you know what? We'll just end up giving our goodies for "DB ONLY". We've been lenient, but we won't accept to be spit at, no sorry, this is not how it floats around here. Again, I don't give a FUCK about the others. I care about those who enjoy DB for what it stands for, an IchiRuki forum, with more added for people who are more neutral and just enjoy it as a good forum.

And on the topic of those other er, "translations", could someone explain to me why anyone would take Pikeish's clear, coherent and accurate translations and mangle them into something that makes no grammatical, syntaxical or logical sense in English? No really, how is it possible to suck at stealing other peope's work? *is confused*

Sorry if I am being too much bitchy. But I think that this needs to be posted here.

Today when I went to message a friend of mine at BA, I saw the message of a rabid fanboy making comments about Pikeish's translation and saying "Thank you for zee translation. Anyhow, we are saved. We don't have to bear with any low quality English. Members at DB don't know grammar or even the basics of a proper sentence construction. It is nice that we got good translations from other guy. No body in any forum has made as good translations as that one." (lol)

They even made fun of how we could not make coherent posts with proper grammar in English. And our translations are the most sucking ones.

So, I seriously think that we should lock up the novel thread or make it open only for real DB fans
